Lupology

Pearl is the alter-ego of Natasha Khan, the lady behind Bat For Lashes. She introduces us to Pearl on her latest album titled, Two Suns (out April 6th 2009). I was lucky enough to have the chance to hear it (several times) in its entirety. At first, it didn’t strike me quite the same way Fur and Gold did. Fur and Gold is the first Bat For Lashes album and its a hella impressive debut. But after listen two, I was into it! Deep! I’ve been waking up in the morning with the song Pearls Dream stuck in my head. The first single is the beautiful track titles, Daniel. Also the track, Glass, is a stand out. Very siren song, with feelings of early Annie Lennox(solo style), and again with this comparison (I gotta leave her alone), Kate Bush. You best better get to checkin it out! Bat For Lashes makes me do a happy dance cause she is on it! Be sure to try and get tickets for her show at the El Rey, June 16th!! They will sell out, I’m sure of it, so act fast!
