Lupology

So I have been a fan of Sleepthief from the moment I learned about the music on a Shelley Harland forum. Justin Elswick, the main man behind Sleepthief, reached out to me and said he was working on the first album and Shelley was on it. Not only was Shelley on it, but so was Jody Quine(Balligomingo), Kirsty Hawkshaw, Kristy Thirsk, Nicolo Hitchcock(Mandalay), Caroline Lavelle and others. The title on the myspace page sums up the sound of Sleepthief pretty well, “The Future Sound of The Past”. Well they are putting the final touches on a new album, Labyrinthine Heart. You can hear a sample of the first single called World Gone Crazy on the Myspace page. It features a new vocalist that Justin discovered, Coury Palermo. He is good, he sounds like the male version of Tracey Thorn. Well, she kind of sells male and he kinda sound female…lets just say, he sounds like Tracey Thorn! His voice is perfect for the Sleepthief sound. Its a great lead off single!
